An important speech about studies is coming soon. I was sick, I don't know how to prepare it correctly, advise where I can find help?

Hey everyone! I'm kinda freaking out. I missed 2 weeks of class cuz of the flu and now I have to give this big speech next week. It's supposed to be about effective study methods but I've got zero notes or guidance. Any ideas??

It's supposed to be a 10 min persuasive speech. Prof wants us to convince classmates to adopt a specific study technique. I'm so behind

Have you tried looking at YouTube for examples? Lots of good persuasive speech samples there. Might give u some ideas for structure at least

I had a similar situation last semester. My friend told me you can buy a speech online if ur really stuck. Might be worth looking into since ur time is so limited

If ur going that route, make sure u customize whatever u buy to sound like YOUR voice. Teachers can tell when it sounds nothing like how u normally talk lol

He said they let him specify his speaking style and even included notes for delivery

Whatever u decide, just make sure you practice it a bunch before giving it! Nothing worse than reading someone else's words for the first time in front of class. Been there, bombed that

Thanks guys! I think I'll look into buying an informative speech online and then changing it to be more persuasive. Feels like the fastest option with my time crunch. Will definitely practice it too!

Just wanted to throw in - CDC actually has some free resources that might help. I used their communication podcast series to pick up tips on persuasive speaking for my health sciences presentation. You can listen while recovering from being sick! Good for learning speech delivery techniques without spending $.
